Notice to Readers (if there are any left)

I am fairly sure by now that this blog has very few readers, since interest in the topics I discuss are never timely or controversial enough to attract any attention. I have also noticed that comments I offer on many of the other blogs and groups receive no response or acknowledgment. It is true that those within the Jewish community are not interested in engaging with those on the outside, and that is a perfectly natural thing. After all, I do not provide the freak-show atmosphere that some of the still closeted Jewish heretics and Christian evangelicals maintain. People are attracted to enigmas. I cannot help that.

If you ever read this blog, even at gunpoint, please let me know. I would like to get some idea of who is reading and what they may like or dislike about it. If you have a personal complaint about me, my writing, or my philosophy, I would appreciate the critique.

Hello. Please do not quit like you did before. I also grew up in Crown Heights in the 60's when there was an influx of citizens from Haight Ashbury. I wonder if you are aware of what's going on now in CH since the Rebbe died. I am told that many young people from "gej" families are not religious anymore and are not ashamed to parade in the streets w/out headcoverings etc=- and that's the boys

Shlomo,

I do read your blog and enjoy your writing. You write very well. As you say, you are simply not controversial enough to generate heated discussion. Being controversial seems to be the only way to get an active discussion going online.

Also, as Shtreimel says, when you closed down your old blog people simply assumed you've disappeared. I'd venture to say most readers of your old blog don't even know you've started writing again.

Here might be the place to tell you that I used to read your old blog regularly and enjoyed it immensely.

Shlomo,

I'm another eager, albeit silent, reader of your blog, probably only one of many. Keep posting!

Btw, what ever happened with the conclusion of your tisha b'av series? I'm still curious.

I wish I could write half as well as you do. It has always been a struggle for me to even write one complete sentence.

Your story about your special tree made me tear up. I wanted to tell you how I loved your sweet, sad story about your special tree. Thank you for sharing that story.

I think you are exquisitely sensitive and kind.
